The voltage of our regulator can be set exactly.
The charging current for lead-acid batteries should have 7.2 volt
and for nickel-cadmium batteries it should have 7.8 volts.
For regulators without setting option only an approximate charging current can be generated, as the used pole pieces and the anchor distance affect the output.

Our coils are without resistance wire as it was originally in the coils.
When you use an electronic regulator – like the one we construct - the resistance wire is no longer necessary.
Should the regulator 3170 be installed on an original coil, the resistance wire is not connected anymore.
