Special tools

For the restoration and maintenance of our bikes special tools are required.

Here I would not list all of them that are available in our specialized workshop and are necessary for us.

But some that are useful for domestic use, we have included in our spare parts program.

1044 only for Zündapp KS 750+KS 600	extractor This extractor is necessary if you want to pull out the follower from the engine housing. It can also be used for the insertion of the follower guides. In conjunction with a piece of square bar steel and a central 11 mm hole the crankshaft including the bearing shield can be pulled out of the engine housing. It makes more sense to use this tool here than pulling out the shield by adjusting the 8 mm screws. This often results in a broken bearing shield. The threads for the crankshaft and the follower are equal in diameter.
1059 only for Zündapp KS 750	Pipe wrench to loosen and tighten the Starterratsche. Be careful left thread
3039 for KS 750 and BMW R75	*Wheel bearing spanner Radlagerschlüssel* To unscrew and tighten the round nut in the wheel hub. With alignment and solid square bar steel. Note: The slotted screw secures the round nut by the tension of the thread. Loosen before unscrew. After tightening tighten firmly.
1073 for Zündapp KS 750	Pipe Wrench To adjust the damping effect of the oil shock absorber of the front fork. 1/4 turn more or less brings big change of the effectiveness of the shock absorber.
3408 for Zündapp KS 750 and BMW R75	Spanner 41 -36 Zündapp KS 750 This slim design is needed for the adjustments of the forks tubes. BMW for the fork lock screws.
3078-1	Hook spanner with tube extension Hook spanner for the KS 750 + R75 to tighten the large nut on the sidecar. With hexagon spanner for sidecars. BMW R75 - hook spanner to tighten the threaded nuts.
