For many it is not clear how the upper steering head bearing is sealed at KS 750.

Here is a brief explanation and a few drawing.

1.
In the top and the bottom of the protective cap 3158-1 is a felt ring.
 

2.
3158-2 is only at the top and consists of a rubber sealing ring and a cap to the sealing ring made of sheet metal.
This unit is located on the outside of the steering head bearing and seals the gap between the control head (Steuerkopf) and the frame.
